Percale tends to feel lighter, crisper, and more structured, while sateen feels smoother, softer, and more substantial. Our Perfect Sheets use a sateen weave for a buttery-smooth feel without the excessive silkiness or sheen many sateen sheets are known for.
Not necessarily. A higher thread count doesn't automatically mean a better sheet. Fiber quality, yarn, weave, and construction all play an important role. We chose 500 thread count to create the balance we wanted: exceptionally smooth and substantial, while still breathable enough for year-round comfort.
Some wrinkling is natural with 100% cotton, though our sheet’s smooth sateen weave is naturally less prone to wrinkling than crisp percale. For the smoothest finish, tumble dry on low and remove promptly. Our favorite trick: take them out while still slightly damp and make your bed right away – they’ll finish drying beautifully in place.
